Full job description

Microsoft is hiring an Account Manager to support the Sales team in New York, managing end-to-end digital advertising campaigns on Xbox & King properties. The role involves campaign setup, launch, optimization, and post-campaign analysis, working closely with Sales, Ad Operations, Measurement, and Product Marketing teams. Candidates should have 3+ years of digital media experience, knowledge of programmatic advertising technologies such as Google Ad Manager and Monetize, and strong project management and problem-solving skills. The position requires on-site work in New York with a focus on operational excellence and client relationship management.

What you'll do

  • Work collaboratively with Sales to provide strategic media plans and ideas to clients based on their objectives
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients and agencies post-sale
  • Establish credible relationships with clients and serve as a trusted consultant to optimize and expand their advertising investment
  • Monitor live campaigns, provide regular reporting, identify upsell opportunities, and partner with internal stakeholders on measurement insights in accordance with client KPIs
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with the creative team to ideate on custom executions
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of Microsoft ecosystem including product offering, supply mechanics, and measurement efforts
  • Display excellent project management abilities for all activities, ensuring internal and external stakeholders are well informed throughout the entire process
  • Identify key business challenges and develop best practices to address them

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field OR 2+ years relevant work experience in sales, advertising, or marketing with a focus on digital advertising or equivalent experience
  • Preferred: MBA in Sales, Marketing, or related field AND 1+ year relevant work experience OR Bachelor's Degree AND 3+ years relevant work experience or equivalent
  • 3+ years of digital media experience
  • Solid troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and experience managing operational tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with proactive, open, and collaborative nature
  • Driver of operational efficiency and excellence
  • Ability to articulate complex requirements to achieve results
  • Working knowledge of programmatic execution and understanding of technology such as Google Ad Manager, Monetize, video/mobile media products, audience targeting and the programmatic landscape
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
