Full job description

Microsoft Advertising seeks an Analytical Lead to support advertisers in the German market by leveraging data insights and AI-powered analytics. The role involves analyzing large datasets using tools like PowerBI, Tableau, DAX, R, and SQL, developing presentations and visualizations, consulting with stakeholders, and driving adoption of AI and automation in analytics. Candidates must have experience in statistics, data science or related fields, fluency in German, and strong skills in data manipulation and visualization. The position is full-time, hybrid (minimum two days per week onsite), with a salary range of €81,500 to €139,200 annually. Responsibilities include enhancing client solutions, integrating data sources, promoting efficiency in analytics workflows, and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.

What you'll do

  • Leverage deep client insights and industry knowledge to anticipate business questions and identify opportunities for enhanced or automated solutions
  • Work across multiple data sources to assess data requirements, evaluate sufficiency and quality, integrate datasets using appropriate statistical methods, and select analytical tools to answer complex business questions
  • Develop internal and client-facing presentations conveying analyses through reports, data visualizations, self-service platforms, key performance metrics, and talking points
  • Engage internal and external stakeholders to identify and act on opportunities leveraging resources and solutions, consulting across industry verticals and client teams
  • Identify, promote, and implement methods to create systematic efficiency in analytics and reporting, ensuring reusability, discoverability, self-service, and meaningful data interpretation
  • Experiment with and operationalize new AI and automation capabilities, piloting models, testing workflows, driving adoption of intelligent tools, and championing responsible AI usage
  • Maintain expertise in data privacy and governance rules and regulations

Requirements

  • Experience in statistics, mathematics, analytics, data science, engineering, computer science, marketing, business, data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, business and financial analysis, or related field OR equivalent experience
  • Experience using tools such as PowerBI/Tableau, DAX, R, SQL for data manipulation and visualization on large datasets
  • German Fluency
