Full job description
The Trade Desk seeks a senior Ad Operations professional to support the operational success of inventory partnerships within the EMEA region. The role involves partnering with senior leadership to implement ad operations strategy, coordinating global inventory initiatives, and managing relationships with supply partners and publishers. Responsibilities include leading testing of inventory supply types, resolving customer concerns, ensuring compliance with EMEA advertising and privacy regulations such as GDPR, working with ad serving vendors, documenting processes, synthesizing reporting into actionable insights, and coaching team members. Candidates should have a BA/BS degree, 4+ years of digital advertising operational experience, strong knowledge of DSPs, ad exchanges, ad servers, and EMEA privacy regulations, proficiency in Excel and MS Office, familiarity with SQL and BI tools, and solid understanding of HTML, Rich Media, and Video/Connected TV and Audio Ad Serving. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills are required.
What you'll do
- Partner with Sr. Managers and Directors to implement ad operations strategy and coordinate global inventory initiatives
- Become an authority on The Trade Desk's Publisher Management Platforms
- Lead supply partners through testing inventory supply and market types
- Meet regularly with supply partners and strategic publishers for updates and opportunities
- Own customer concerns related to blocked spend and deal health issues, resolving root causes
- Provide guidance on EMEA advertising and privacy regulations ensuring compliance
- Work with ad serving vendors on custom creative functionality support
- Document standard processes and guidelines for activation with publishers, supply partners, and vendors
- Synthesize reporting and analysis into actionable insights and recommendations
- Present new channels, opportunities, standards, and deal activation processes
- Partner with Inventory leadership to implement critical initiatives
- Provide feedback to product managers and engineering on features and enhancements
- Lead strategic roadmap and prioritization for Publisher Management Platform's deal library
- Coach and develop team members including Sr. Analysts
- Provide excellent customer service to internal clients and external partners
Requirements
- BA/BS degree
- 4+ years experience in an operational role in digital advertising (testing tags, tracking, monitoring campaign delivery)
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members
- Expertise with DSPs, ad exchanges, aggregators, ad servers, and optimization platforms is a plus
- Strong knowledge of EMEA advertising and privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR)
- Proven experience in Excel and MS Office including pivot tables and chart-making
- Familiarity with SQL and Business Intelligence software is a plus
- Ability to work cross-functionally with product managers and technical teams
- Ability to self-start and independently lead and track long-term projects
- Outstanding troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills
- Solid understanding of HTML, Rich Media, Video/Connected TV and Audio Ad Serving
