Full job description
Account Strategist role within Retail Media focused on key advertiser accounts in the Beauty vertical. Responsibilities include leading Retail Media strategies, managing campaign performance (ROAS, revenue, CTR, spend pacing), client relationship management, driving account growth, leading presentations and strategic planning, ensuring high-quality execution, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Requirements include experience in account strategy or digital advertising, strong analytical skills with advanced Excel, ability to translate data into strategic insights, commercial acumen, understanding of digital advertising ecosystems, ownership and proactivity, stakeholder influence skills, fluency in Spanish and good English, with Retail Media experience and mentoring as a plus. The position is full-time, hybrid, based in Barcelona, Spain. What you'll do
- Lead the development and execution of Retail Media strategies for assigned key accounts within the Beauty vertical
- Own campaign performance across key KPIs such as ROAS, revenue, CTR, and spend pacing
- Provide strategic interpretation, clear recommendations, and success narratives
- Act as the day-to-day contact for clients, building strong relationships and positioning Criteo as a strategic partner
- Drive account growth by identifying upsell, cross-sell, and scaling opportunities aligned with client objectives
- Lead client-facing presentations, QBRs, and strategic planning sessions
- Own end-to-end account execution ensuring strategic consistency, proactive communication, high-quality delivery, and minimal operational risk
- Contribute to campaign planning, optimization, and post-campaign analysis leveraging insights
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Account Management, Product, Operations, Analytics, and other internal stakeholders
- Promote best practices, support team members, and collaborate with agency points of contact
Requirements
- Proven experience in account strategy, account management, digital advertising, Retail Media, e-commerce, or similar client-facing or commercially driven role
- Strong analytical mindset with high confidence working with data
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Experience with additional analytics tools is a plus
- Ability to translate complex data into clear strategic insights and actionable commercial recommendations
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving revenue growth and managing complex, high-value accounts
- Solid understanding of digital advertising and Retail Media ecosystems
- High level of ownership, autonomy, accountability, and proactivity
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, matrixed, and collaborative environment
- Ability to influence stakeholders and lead strategic conversations with senior client and internal profiles
- Strong communication skills in Spanish and a good level of English
- Previous hands-on experience in Retail Media or performance-driven digital advertising is a strong plus
- Exposure to business cases and investment planning is a strong plus
- Prior experience mentoring junior team members is a strong plus
