Full job description

The Trade Desk seeks a senior sales professional with 5+ years of experience in online advertising sales, preferably with telecom industry experience and established relationships with major agencies and advertisers. The role involves managing strategic client relationships, collaborating with global sales and product teams, leading commercial negotiations, and driving long-term partnerships. Candidates must have strong quantitative, negotiation, and communication skills, including the ability to engage with C-level clients. The position requires occasional travel (1-2 times per month). What you'll do

  • Take ownership for representing some of The Trade Desk’s most strategic relationships with largest Tech clients
  • Work collectively with global Sales, Client Services, and Trading teams to cultivate focused accounts and brands
  • Own relationships with commercial and contract leads at major Advertising clients
  • Communicate the value of the media buying platform by aligning The Trade Desk’s media buying philosophy with clients
  • Drive measurement led conversations to ensure longer-term partnerships
  • Participate in product roadmap discussions based on client needs with senior leadership, product, and engineering
  • Lead building proactive recommendations and expanding relationships within clients beyond media
  • Work closely with product, marketing, and revenue teams to optimize efforts relating to company-wide goals
  • Identify and close strategic up-selling opportunities by understanding core client business needs
  • Build deep and lasting connections internally across The Trade Desk departments and specialty functions

Requirements

  • Proven track record in online advertising outbound sales
  • Experience in the Telco industry and/or existing relationships with decision makers at major agencies and advertisers within the Telco space
  • 5+ years of relevant sales experience
  • Experience at an online publisher, ad network, ad exchange, ad server, SEM platform, DSP, or other online advertising role
  • Experience establishing long standing, consultative client relationships
  • Strong quantitative skills and negotiation ability, able to lead commercial negotiations for large global accounts
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to speak with C-level clients
  • Ability to travel 1-2 times a month depending on client needs
