The Trade Desk seeks a Director-level strategic client leader to manage a portfolio of agency clients, build executive relationships, and deliver client outcomes. Responsibilities include partnering with Business Development and Trading teams to drive client retention and growth, leading strategic client engagements, acting as a trusted advisor, developing client business knowledge, advocating client needs internally, defining portfolio priorities and success metrics, leading and coaching a team of Account Managers, balancing resources and priorities, and collaborating with senior leaders across functions. Requirements include 9+ years in digital advertising or related client-facing roles with at least 2 years of people management, success managing complex agency or advertiser relationships, strong understanding of programmatic advertising and data-driven marketing, ability to engage C-level stakeholders, leadership and coaching skills, commercial mindset, excellent prioritization and problem-solving skills, and strong communication skills in Japanese and English. Requirements
9+ years of experience in digital advertising, media, adtech, or related client-facing roles, including at least 2 years of people management
Demonstrated success managing and growing complex agency or advertiser relationships
Strong understanding of programmatic advertising, data-driven marketing, and measurement solutions
Proven ability to engage, influence, and build credibility with C-level stakeholders
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and aligning internal stakeholders to deliver outstanding client outcomes
Strong coaching and leadership skills with a passion for developing talent and building high-performing teams
Commercially minded, with the ability to identify opportunities that drive client success and long-term business growth
Excellent prioritization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
Outstanding communication, presentation, and relationship management skills in both Japanese and English
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of execution
