Full job description

Viant is hiring a mid-level Account Executive for their Chicago sales team to drive new business and grow sales of the Viant DSP, focusing on independent agencies in the Chicago metro area. The role requires 3-6 years of programmatic/ad tech sales experience, strong knowledge of digital media and programmatic advertising, and excellent communication and sales skills. Responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, consulting with clients to meet marketing objectives, generating sales activities, meeting revenue quotas, negotiating contracts, cultivating client relationships, expanding product footprint, and providing client feedback. A bachelor's degree is required. Benefits include fully paid health insurance, paid parental leave, and unlimited PTO. Salary range is $100,000 to $126,000.

What you'll do

  • Curate a rallying, leading presence of the overall sales team to inspire action by vocal participation in team meetings
  • Identify new business opportunities with independent agencies and advertisers in the Chicago metro area
  • Consult with clients to uncover marketing objectives and align solutions to deliver against those goals
  • Generate a high volume of sales related activity including cold calls, meetings, presentations, proposals
  • Consistently meet or exceed revenue quota assignment
  • Drive new and grow existing revenue through long term contracts and contract negotiation
  • Cultivate relationships with clients, gain deep insight into their business, and provide solutions to marketing and advertising goals
  • Expand Viant’s footprint across the territory and within key accounts by cross-selling and up-selling product portfolio
  • Provide feedback to the company on how to best service clients' needs

Requirements

  • 3-6 years programmatic/ad tech sales experience with ad agencies in the Chicago metro area
  • Strong understanding and enthusiasm about the latest in digital media, ad tech, data targeting, 1st party data, platform sales, programmatic, behavioral targeting and optimization strategies
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Quickly gain product efficiency across broad set of offerings
  • Smart, articulate, polished, self-driven, highly motivated team player
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Superb organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Consultative, strategic thinker with great energy and enthusiasm for prospecting new business
  • Excellent closing skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in demo-premised and solution-premised selling
  • Bachelor’s degree required
