Full job description

Viant is hiring a mid-level Account Executive for the Minneapolis office to drive new business and grow sales of the Viant DSP. The role focuses on calling major agencies and client direct advertisers, generating sales activities, meeting revenue quotas, and expanding the company's footprint. Candidates should have 2-3 years of programmatic/ad tech sales experience, strong knowledge of digital media and programmatic advertising, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a bachelor's degree. Responsibilities include identifying new business, consulting clients, contract negotiation, and cross-selling. Benefits include fully paid health insurance, paid parental leave, and unlimited PTO. Salary range is $110,000 - $120,000.

What you'll do

  • Lead and inspire sales team through vocal participation in meetings
  • Identify new business opportunities with agencies and advertisers
  • Consult with clients to uncover marketing objectives and align solutions
  • Generate high volume of sales activities including cold calls, meetings, presentations, proposals
  • Consistently meet or exceed revenue quota
  • Drive new and grow existing revenue through long term contracts and negotiations
  • Cultivate client relationships and provide marketing and advertising solutions
  • Expand Viant’s footprint across territory and key accounts by cross-selling and up-selling
  • Provide feedback to company on servicing client needs

Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years of programmatic/ad tech sales experience with agencies and/or advertisers
  • Strong understanding and enthusiasm about digital media, ad tech, data targeting, 1st party data, platform sales, programmatic, behavioral targeting and optimization strategies
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Quickly gain product efficiency across broad set of offerings
  • Smart, articulate, polished, self-driven, highly motivated team player
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Superb organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Consultative, strategic thinker with great energy and enthusiasm for prospecting new business
  • Excellent closing skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in demo-premised and solution-premised selling
  • Bachelor’s degree required
