Full job description

Viant is hiring a mid-level Account Executive for its Chicago sales team to generate new business and grow sales of the Viant DSP, focusing on independent agencies in Chicago metro area. The role requires 3-6 years of programmatic/ad tech sales experience with ad agencies, strong knowledge of digital media and programmatic advertising, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a bachelor's degree. Responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, consulting clients on marketing objectives, generating sales activities, meeting revenue quotas, negotiating contracts, cultivating client relationships, and expanding Viant’s footprint through cross-selling and up-selling. Benefits include fully paid health insurance, paid parental leave, and unlimited PTO. Salary range is $100,000 to $115,000.

What you'll do

  • Lead and inspire the overall sales team through vocal participation in team meetings
  • Identify new business opportunities with independent agencies and advertisers in Chicago and Milwaukee metro areas
  • Consult with clients to uncover marketing objectives and align solutions to meet goals
  • Generate high volume of sales activities including cold calls, meetings, presentations, proposals
  • Consistently meet or exceed revenue quota assignments
  • Drive new and grow existing revenue through long term contracts and contract negotiation
  • Cultivate client relationships and provide marketing and advertising solutions
  • Expand Viant’s footprint across the territory and within key accounts by cross-selling and up-selling
  • Provide feedback to company on how to best service clients' needs

Requirements

  • 3-6 years programmatic/ad tech sales experience with ad agencies in the Chicago/Milwaukee metro area
  • Strong understanding and enthusiasm about digital media, ad tech, data targeting, 1st party data, platform sales, programmatic, behavioral targeting and optimization strategies
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Quickly gain product efficiency across broad set of offerings
  • Smart, articulate, polished, self-driven, highly motivated team player
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Superb organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Consultative, strategic thinker with great energy and enthusiasm for prospecting new business
  • Excellent closing skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in demo-premised and solution-premised selling
  • Bachelor’s degree required
