Full job description

Viant seeks an Account Director in Seattle to drive new business and grow sales of Viant DSP. The role requires 6-8 years of programmatic/ad tech sales experience, strong knowledge of digital media and ad tech, and excellent communication and sales skills. Responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, consulting with clients, generating sales activities, meeting revenue quotas, negotiating contracts, cultivating client relationships, expanding territory footprint, and providing client feedback. Bachelor’s degree required. Benefits include fully paid health insurance, paid parental leave, and unlimited PTO. Salary range: $140,000 - $150,000.

What you'll do

  • Lead and inspire overall sales team through vocal participation in team meetings
  • Identify new business opportunities with media agencies and advertisers in Seattle metro area
  • Consult with clients to uncover marketing objectives and align solutions
  • Generate high volume of sales activities including cold calls, meetings, presentations, proposals
  • Consistently meet or exceed revenue quota
  • Drive new and grow existing revenue through long term contracts and contract negotiation
  • Cultivate client relationships and provide marketing and advertising solutions
  • Expand Viant’s footprint across territory and key accounts by cross-selling and up-selling
  • Provide feedback to company on how to best service clients' needs

Requirements

  • 6-8 years programmatic/ad tech sales experience
  • Experience supporting independent agencies a plus
  • Strong understanding of digital media, ad tech, data targeting, 1st party data, platform sales, programmatic, behavioral targeting and optimization strategies
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Quickly gain product efficiency across broad set of offerings
  • Smart, articulate, polished, self-driven, highly motivated team player
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Superb organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Consultative, strategic thinker with great energy and enthusiasm for prospecting new business
  • Excellent closing skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in demo-premised and solution-premised selling
  • Bachelor’s degree required
