Full job description

Paid internship focused on event planning, employee experience, and global collaboration. Responsibilities include traveling to offices, gathering insights to improve workplace engagement, planning and hosting events, managing budgets and logistics, and presenting recommendations. Requires strong organizational and communication skills, experience in event or social activity organization, and interest in workplace culture. Approximately 30 hours per week from June 16 to August 20, 2026, paid at $20 per hour. Hybrid work model.

What you'll do

  • Travel to Smartly offices and connect with employees to learn what makes their workplace experience meaningful
  • Gather insights and identify opportunities to improve how teams connect and engage in-office
  • Plan and host summer events and smaller in-office experiences across locations
  • Help design a scalable approach to social programming across global offices
  • Partner with Workplace and Events teams to build and manage event budgets
  • Coordinate end-to-end event logistics, including scheduling, vendors, and communications
  • Create and manage swag concepts, from idea through ordering and distribution
  • Present a final set of recommendations to improve workplace experience at Smartly

Requirements

  • Current student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Global Studies, or a related field
  • Experience organizing events, social activities, or programs (e.g., student organizations, clubs, Greek life, or community groups)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage projects from idea to execution
  • Comfortable meeting new people and building relationships across different backgrounds and cultures
  • Clear communicator who can turn conversations and observations into actionable ideas
  • Curious, proactive, and interested in workplace culture and employee experience
  • Able to balance creativity with structure, including managing budgets and logistics
