Full job description
The Vice President, Agency Development is responsible for managing GumGum’s relationship with a Global Holding Company, driving growth, innovation, and securing GumGum’s position as a top-tier partner. This role includes full strategic, commercial, and operational ownership of the partnership. Responsibilities include leading the Hold Co relationship, managing P&L, developing multi-year partnership plans, engaging executives, leading trading deal strategy, championing technology integration, collaborating with Finance, and enabling sales execution. Requires 15+ years in digital advertising, media sales, or agency development with senior executive experience managing holding company partnerships, strong network, executive presence, negotiation skills, and strategic thinking. The role offers a hybrid work environment with a preference for candidates within commutable distance to the office in New York. Compensation includes an estimated base salary of $200,000 - $230,000 annually plus benefits including 401(k) matching and potential bonuses.
What you'll do
- Own and lead the Hold Co relationship with full strategic, commercial, and operational accountability
- Drive profitable revenue growth from Hold Co accounts; manage forecasting, budgeting, and commercial performance
- Develop and implement a multi-year partnership plan to increase footprint, solution adoption, and share of wallet
- Build and sustain trusted relationships with Hold Co C-suite and senior executives
- Lead all holding company-level trading agreements from inception through implementation
- Champion integration of GumGum’s technology and platforms into Hold Co workflows and systems
- Collaborate with Finance to structure trading deal terms supporting growth and margin protection
- Partner with regional sales leadership to activate and ensure adoption of trading agreements and market execution
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in digital advertising, media sales, or agency development
- Extensive experience managing holding company partnerships at a senior executive level
- Proven track record of delivering revenue growth and managing multi-million-dollar P&L
- Ability to lead complex, high-value partnerships with creativity and commercial acumen
- Strong network within at least one Global Hold Co or comparable holding companies
- Executive presence and ability to influence at the C-suite level
- Experience negotiating and managing holding company trading deals and driving implementation
- Experience leading and supporting technology integration efforts with agency partners
- Strong collaboration skills with Finance, Product, and Engineering teams
- Strategic thinker with operational discipline and ability to translate vision into action
- Experience working in or with a fast-paced, high-growth technology or media company
- Deep understanding of the evolving ad tech and digital media landscape
- Comfortable as an individual contributor with potential to build a team
