Full job description

StackAdapt is seeking a senior software engineer to architect scalable, low-latency backend systems and data pipelines. The role involves providing technical leadership, establishing best practices, conducting code reviews, and addressing technical challenges. Candidates must have at least 7 years of experience in software development for distributed systems, microservices, and data pipelines, with strong computer science fundamentals. Experience with Golang, AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, and high-performance databases is preferred. The position is remote, open to candidates located anywhere in Canada or the United States.

What you'll do

  • Architect scalable, low-latency backend systems and data pipelines
  • Provide technical leadership in the design of scalable solutions and establish best practices
  • Contribute positively to the team's productivity and growth
  • Advocate for software development best practices and conduct thorough code reviews
  • Proactively identify and address technical challenges

Requirements

  • Proven track record of building scalable, distributed, data-intensive systems
  • Experience working with large data in low-latency environments
  • At least 7 years of experience in software development for distributed systems, architecting scalable microservices, and data pipelines in a successful high-growth technology company
  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms
  • Up-to-date knowledge and experience in the latest technologies, tools, and frameworks
  • Adtech or Martech experience is a plus
  • Experience with Go and high-performance databases is a plus
