Full job description

Lead and scale engineering efforts for the Loyalty Platform, delivering core capabilities for program setup, offers, integrations, and business insights. Partner with Product and Architecture to define technical direction, drive execution, and ensure delivery of measurable business outcomes. Manage a team of 8-12 engineers and contractors, overseeing capacity planning, sprint execution, and delivery predictability. Design and build scalable distributed systems using Node.js/TypeScript, C#, React/Next.js. Develop and maintain APIs, microservices, and integrations. Ensure platform operational excellence including monitoring, quality, incident readiness, and security. Implement cloud-native solutions primarily on AWS, with exposure to Azure/GCP. Promote engineering best practices including architecture, coding standards, CI/CD, and DevOps. Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity. Collaborate across teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery. Requires bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, 5-10 years experience leading engineering teams, strong expertise in full-stack development, cloud services, distributed systems, and agile delivery. Salary range $105,000 to $195,000 annually. Location: Irving, Texas, United States.

What you'll do

  • Lead and manage a blended team of 8–12 engineers and contractors
  • Own capacity planning, sprint execution, and delivery predictability
  • Drive end-to-end delivery across the full SDLC including refinement, planning, execution, and performance measurement
  • Design and build scalable, distributed systems using Node.js/TypeScript, C#, and modern frontend frameworks (React/Next.js)
  • Collaborate closely with design and product teams to deliver UI-driven product outcomes
  • Develop and maintain APIs, microservices, and integrations across internal and external systems
  • Ensure platform operational excellence including monitoring, quality, incident readiness, and security
  • Implement and evolve cloud-native solutions employing AWS primarily, with exposure to Azure/GCP as a plus
  • Promote engineering procedures across architecture, coding standards, CI/CD, and DevOps workflows
  • Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools to enhance developer efficiency
  • Collaborate across matrixed teams within the Loyalty ecosystem to ensure alignment and successful delivery

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering scalable, full-stack solutions
  • Strong expertise in frontend frameworks (React, Next.js preferred; Angular is a plus)
  • Strong expertise in backend development with Node.js, TypeScript, and C#
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, DynamoDB, MongoDB)
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (required), familiarity with Azure and/or GCP is a plus
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and API-first design
  • Experience working across full stack with focus on customer-facing outcomes
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience with engineering operating rhythms, agile delivery, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools
