RTB House is seeking a Staff Research Team Lead to manage a team of 4-8 ML researchers while remaining hands-on. The role involves leading research projects with high scope and ambiguity, solving unclear problems, and building ML systems for production. Responsibilities include managing team priorities, conducting hands-on research, designing deep neural network models, developing new modeling approaches, conducting A/B tests, mentoring researchers, and translating ML research into practical improvements. Required experience includes 5+ years as a researcher or engineer, 2+ years in ML/Data Science, proven leadership with 2+ years managing teams, programming proficiency, and strong mathematical knowledge. Nice to have are advanced theoretical math skills, AdTech experience, and experience building research teams. Technologies used include Python, Java, Scala, PyTorch, NumPy, Pandas, TPU, JAX, Jupyter Notebooks, BigQuery, and GCP.
