Full job description

Tatari is hiring a Staff Platform Engineer to manage and support customer-facing applications, improve system reliability, participate in architecture discussions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Requires 5+ years of cloud infrastructure experience (AWS preferred), knowledge of Auto Scaling, CDNs, DNS, Load Balancers, Multi Region and Multi-Tenant Topologies, Proxy Servers, WAFs, Linux, shell/bash, Python scripting, monitoring/logging tools (DataDog, Kibana), containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), configuration management (Terraform), and RDBMS (Postgres/RDS, Redshift). Experience with ingestion, ETL, streaming, and big data processing (Kafka, Spark) is a plus. The role is full-time, hybrid with 2 days in-office per week, located in San Francisco, CA. Compensation ranges from $180,000 to $220,000 plus equity and benefits including health insurance, 401K, education stipend, WFH reimbursement, unlimited PTO, wellness days, and team events.

What you'll do

  • Manage and support several customer facing applications and products
  • Work to improve application and system reliability across infrastructure
  • Participate in technical architecture discussions; deployment, security and availability strategies
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to understand infrastructure-related needs
  • Manage and support back office and business intelligence systems used across multiple departments and teams

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working in cloud-based infrastructure (AWS preferred)
  • Experience with Auto Scaling, CDNs, DNS, Load Balancers, Multi Region and Multi-Tenant Topologies, Proxy Servers, and WAFs
  • Strong experience with Linux, shell/bash and Python scripting
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (DataDog, Kibana, or similar)
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, or similar)
  • Experience with configuration management and provisioning tools (Terraform preferred)
  • Experience managing RDBMS (Postgres/RDS, Redshift, or similar)
  • Experience with ingestion and ETL is a plus
  • Experience with streaming and big data processing (Kafka, Spark, or similar) is a plus
