Attain is hiring a Senior/Staff Site Reliability Engineer to build and maintain infrastructure and automation tools for their fintech platform. The role focuses on eliminating manual toil through automation using AI coding agents and modern tooling. Responsibilities include writing Terraform modules, developing Helm charts for Kubernetes, managing Istio service mesh configurations, monitoring GCP databases, and enhancing observability with Prometheus and Grafana. Candidates should have 6+ years of experience with cloud-native infrastructure (AWS/GCP), AI agent fluency, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Istio), SQL databases (MySQL, BigQuery, Spanner), stream and pub/sub technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, SNS, Pub/Sub), serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions/Run), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana). Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience with SOC2 and PCI compliance are required. The position is remote with potential hybrid options in Chicago or New York for some candidates.
