Full job description

Provide technical leadership for a team developing and maintaining the Ops Automation Platform. Develop front-end software with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, React, Angular, Vue.js, Redux, Vuex, Webpack, and Babel. Develop back-end software using Golang, Python, Gin, Go modules, pip, Go testing, and Pytest. Perform container orchestration with Kubernetes and Docker. Work with AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud platforms and AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and VPC. Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Github, and ArgoCD. Manage large-scale clusters with Ansible and Terraform. Monitor and manage services using Prometheus and Grafana. Support application development, software updates, and releases. Analyze, test, and integrate new applications. Document development activities and technical requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders and QA teams. Mentor junior engineers. Position allows remote work one or more days per week per company policy. Requires bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 5 years of relevant experience including back-end development, container orchestration, front-end development, cloud platform usage, CI/CD pipeline management, cluster management, and monitoring services.

What you'll do

  • Provide technical leadership to a team designing, developing, and maintaining the Ops Automation Platform
  • Develop front-end software using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, React, Angular, Vue.js, Redux, Vuex, Webpack, and Babel
  • Develop back-end software using Golang, Python, Gin, Go modules, pip, Go testing, and Pytest
  • Perform container orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker
  • Work with Cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Use AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and VPC
  • Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Github, and ArgoCD
  • Manage large-scale clusters using Ansible and Terraform
  • Monitor and manage services using Prometheus and Grafana
  • Support applications under development and customize current applications
  • Assist with software update processes and roll-outs of software releases
  • Analyze, test, and assist with integration of new applications
  • Document development activity and write/edit technical documentation
  • Monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products
  • Review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to assigned projects
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements
  • Conduct analysis to determine integration needs
  • Work with Quality Assurance to ensure applications meet specifications
  • Guide and mentor junior-level engineers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
  • 5 years experience developing back-end software using Golang, Python, Gin, Go modules, pip, Go testing, and Pytest
  • 5 years experience performing container orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker
  • 3 years experience developing front-end software using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, React, Angular, Vue.js, Redux, Vuex, Webpack, and Babel
  • 3 years experience working with Cloud platforms including AWS
  • 3 years experience using AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and VPC
  • 3 years experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Github
  • 3 years experience managing large-scale clusters using Ansible and Terraform
  • 1 year experience monitoring and managing services using Prometheus and Grafana
