The Sr. Programmatic Strategist advises agency and advertiser partners by translating business objectives into programmatic media strategies to drive measurable outcomes and platform adoption. Responsibilities include leading strategic client discussions, making investment-driving recommendations, influencing budget and scaling decisions, owning performance optimization, identifying growth levers, connecting campaign performance to business impact, partnering with Sales and Customer Success teams, pitching strategies to clients, supporting upsell opportunities, and standardizing best practices. Requires 5-7 years of experience in programmatic, DSP, or agency trading/strategy roles, strong client-facing strategic consultation skills, ability to influence media investments, deep DSP knowledge, data translation skills, and familiarity with SQL, Python, and BI tools. Bachelor's degree preferred. Salary range: $100,106.20 - $150,159.30.
What you'll do
- Lead strategic discussions with clients to define campaign objectives, KPIs, and programmatic approaches
- Translate platform capabilities into investment-driving recommendations across inventory, audience, and bidding strategies
- Influence budget allocation, test frameworks, and scaling decisions across campaigns
- Own performance narratives and optimization strategies across key accounts
- Identify growth levers such as supply expansion, audience strategy, bid optimization, and pacing strategy
- Connect campaign performance to broader business impact including incrementality, reach, and efficiency
- Partner with Sales Planners and Sales to shape RFP responses, proposals, and strategic recommendations
- Pitch programmatic strategy to clients and participate in high-value client presentations
- Support upsell and cross-sell opportunities through data-backed recommendations
- Work closely with Sales Planning, Customer Success, and Campaign Services to ensure alignment from planning to execution to optimization
- Help standardize best practices, frameworks, and playbooks across accounts
Requirements
- 5 - 7 years in programmatic, DSP, or agency trading/strategy roles
- Strong experience in client-facing strategic consultation
- Proven ability to influence media investment decisions
- Deep understanding of DSP mechanics and supply ecosystem
- Ability to translate data into clear, persuasive narratives for senior stakeholders
- Skilled in cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to leverage AI-driven tools and data platforms to analyze large datasets, automate insight generation, and translate findings into strategic recommendations
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, and BI/visualization tools preferred
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of coursework and experience
