Full job description

Viant is seeking a Senior Manager, Operational Finance to support financial and operational decision-making through reporting, analytics, process improvement, and business transformation. The role partners across Finance, Sales, Operations, Product, and Technology to improve business visibility and drive scalable solutions. Responsibilities include managing performance reporting cadence, analyzing data for trends and risks, preparing executive insights, partnering cross-functionally for financial accuracy, building financial analyses and models, contributing to system and process improvements, and applying AI tools to enhance analysis efficiency. Requirements include 8+ years in FP&A, accounting, or finance, preferably in AdTech, SaaS, or digital media; a relevant degree; strong accounting knowledge; advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; proficiency in SQL and BI tools; strong analytical and communication skills; and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. Benefits include fully paid health insurance, paid parental leave, and unlimited PTO. Salary range is $150,000 to $175,000.

What you'll do

  • Own operational and financial performance management reporting cadence
  • Build and deliver accurate reporting packages tracking KPIs and variance to plan
  • Support internal decision-making and external reporting for executive and investor audiences
  • Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Prepare executive-level insights for senior leadership and finance team
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial data and identify operational enhancements
  • Build ad-hoc financial analyses and models for emerging business needs
  • Translate findings into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership
  • Contribute to system implementations and process improvements for scalability and automation
  • Apply knowledge of AI tools and modern data workflows to accelerate analysis and reduce manual effort

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive experience, primarily in FP&A, accounting, or finance roles
  • Experience in AdTech, SaaS, or digital media industry a plus
  • BS/BA in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
  • CPA, MBA, and/or CMA a plus
  • Solid understanding of accounting concepts and financial statements
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities
  • Proficiency in SQL or relational databases
  • Familiarity with BI tools
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and trends
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting insights to senior leadership
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving mentality and ability to work through ambiguity
