Full job description

FreeWheel, a Comcast company, seeks a Senior Data Scientist for the Audience Revenue Science Team. Responsibilities include implementing ad tech solutions using statistical models and machine learning, conducting data analysis, building forecasting methods, applying optimization for ad scheduling, leveraging AWS and Spark technologies, researching new methods, and providing data visualization insights. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Master's or PhD preferred), 3+ years experience with Python, SQL, and model implementation, knowledge of optimization models, data manipulation skills, experience with data visualization tools, AWS/cloud platforms, strong analytical and communication skills, and interest in ad technology. The role supports product development and works closely with engineering and product teams. Location is Pennsylvania or remote. Salary ranges nationally from $93,062.99 to $218,116.38 USD depending on location and experience. Benefits include bonuses, commissions (for sales roles), and comprehensive employee support programs.

What you'll do

  • Implement ad tech solutions leveraging statistical models and machine learning methods
  • Identify key data questions and conduct exploratory analyses

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Operations Research; Master’s or PhD a plus
  • At least 3 years of experience with Python, SQL, and analytical model implementation
  • Experience with Optimization Models such as Linear and Nonlinear Programming
  • Skilled at data mangling and manipulation
  • Experience with data visualization tools and programming packages
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using AWS or other cloud-based platforms
  • Proven ability to deliver on complex projects within deadlines
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Strong interest in advertising technology
