Applied Scientist II (응용 과학자 II)

What you'll do

• Lead research projects, possibly managing small teams of applied scientists
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate system health and ensure safe, efficient operation
• Identify areas for infrastructure and ML component improvements by analyzing system and data changes
• Conduct deep, unbiased root cause analysis of issues
• Design, implement, and evaluate new algorithms and features with software and ML engineers
• Drive performance improvements and cost reductions by debugging and investigating production issues
• Stabilize core systems through deep end-to-end understanding

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field, or Master’s/Bachelor’s with 2+ years industry or postgraduate research experience in quantitative or ML-related discipline
• 2+ years experience on research-oriented projects involving machine learning, optimization, statistics, or large-scale data analysis
• Experience contributing to research or modeling projects in collaboration with data scientists, machine learning engineers, or software engineers
• Proficient verbal and written English communication skills
• Ability to quickly learn new technical skills across engineering, machine learning, and data science
• Track record of building positive relationships with collaborators and stakeholders in a global company
• Strong intellectual curiosity and passion for exploring new ideas and improving methodologies
• Highly self-motivated and proactive with ability to drive research projects independently while aligned with team goals
