Full job description

DoubleVerify is seeking a Senior Data Platforms Engineer to join their Data Platforms team in a hybrid role (3 days in office) at their NYC Global HQ. The role involves owning the end-to-end lifecycle of critical data platforms focusing on data warehouse technologies (Snowflake, MongoDB, SQL Server, BigQuery, CloudSQL) and data movement platforms (Airbyte). Responsibilities include providing technical leadership, collaborating with teams, championing DevOps practices, designing and maintaining data platforms, building self-service tools, developing automation, and ensuring platform reliability and scalability. Required experience includes 5+ years in DevOps, Platform or Data Engineering with expertise in data warehouse technologies, data movement/integration, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, programming (Python, Java, Go, Bash), and cloud infrastructure (preferably GCP). Preferred qualifications include experience with data cataloging, governance tools, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools. The salary range is $111,000 - $222,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you'll do

  • Provide expert guidance on data warehouse technologies and data movement platforms
  • Collaborate with developers, infrastructure engineers, and product teams to ensure platform standards and best practices
  • Champion DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD pipelines
  • Contribute to the platform's technology roadmap
  • Design platforms for seamless data movement from various sources to data warehouses
  • Develop and maintain data warehouse platforms and data movement infrastructure
  • Build self-service tools and platforms for efficient data movement
  • Develop automation using GitLab, Terraform, and scripting
  • Ensure scalability and performance of data platforms, implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes
  • Optimize data warehouse performance and data movement pipelines

Requirements

  • 5+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Data Engineering with a focus on data infrastructure
  • Deep expertise in at least one data warehouse technology – Snowflake, BigQuery, CloudSQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB
  • Strong experience in data movement and integration – building or operating platforms for data movement, ETL/ELT pipelines, or data integration tools, deployment tools
  • Proven track record implementing CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in programming – Python, Java, Go, Bash, or equivalent
  • Cloud infrastructure expertise – strong understanding of cloud platforms, preferably GCP
  • Experience with data platform tooling – Airbyte, Liquibase, dbt, or similar
