Full job description

The Trade Desk is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to build and grow strategic partnerships with China outbound advertisers and agencies. Responsibilities include acquiring and cultivating relationships with China outbound brands, collaborating with Client Services to grow accounts, presenting the media buying platform value proposition tailored to clients, identifying and closing up-selling opportunities, managing forecasts and pipeline, and contributing to company culture. Requirements include 5+ years in digital advertising outbound sales, preferably with gaming/apps vertical and programmatic platform sales experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, existing relationships with China gaming/apps decision-makers preferred, and a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets.

What you'll do

  • Acquire, build, and cultivate relationships with China outbound brands
  • Work collectively with Client Services team to cultivate and grow accounts
  • Communicate the value of The Trade Desk media buying platform by presenting core value proposition tailored to each audience
  • Identify and close strategic up-selling opportunities by understanding core client business needs
  • Identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators using market and competitor knowledge
  • Accurately manage and communicate monthly forecasts and pipeline
  • Contribute to The Trade Desk culture by bringing your full self

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in digital advertising in outbound sales
  • Experience with gaming/apps vertical preferred
  • Programmatic platform sales experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to speak with C-level clients
  • Existing relationships with decision-makers at China gaming/apps outbound brands a big plus
  • Strong quantitative and negotiation skills
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue expectations
