Full job description
The Trade Desk seeks a Senior Accountant (China country specialist) based in Shanghai. The role requires 7+ years of accounting, tax, and compliance experience at a US technology company, with knowledge of China GAAP and local tax regulations. Responsibilities include month-end close, statutory reporting, managing external service providers, liaising with local tax authorities, supporting accounting operations, and driving process improvements. The candidate must be skilled in Oracle or ERP systems, detail-oriented, able to work independently, and have excellent English communication skills. A bachelor's degree in finance/accounting is required; CICPA and Big 4 audit experience are preferred.
What you'll do
- Perform month end close tasks including journal entries, account reconciliations and reporting under US GAAP and China GAAP for China legal entities
- Prepare and review statutory and compliance reports, financial statements, analytical reports, and regulatory or tax filings (VAT and CIT declarations)
