Digital Turbine is hiring a Software Engineering Manager to lead full-stack engineering pods responsible for campaign management, dashboards, audience tooling, and supply/demand APIs. The role involves people leadership, technical oversight, execution and delivery, hiring, operational excellence, and strategic alignment. Candidates must have 2+ years of people management experience and 8+ years of software development experience with strong full-stack architecture skills, especially in distributed back-end systems, API design, and low-latency performance. Familiarity with TypeScript/React front end and Java, Kotlin, Go, Python, or C++ back end is required. The role requires experience with Agile, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), and operational metrics. This is a hybrid role based in Durham, North Carolina. Only local candidates will be considered.

Direct-manage a team of Senior, Mid-level and Junior Full Stack Engineers across front-end, back-end, and data domains
Conduct 1:1s, guide career development, handle performance management, and foster an inclusive, high-ownership engineering culture

Familiarity with polyglot environments (TypeScript/React front end; Java, Kotlin, Go, Python, or C++ back end)
Proven track record in mentoring senior/staff engineers and resolving cross-pod dependencies
Comfort with modern Agile methodologies, CI/CD practices, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), and operational metrics (SLAs, SLOs, system health)
