StackAdapt is hiring a mid-level Backend Software Engineer with 2+ years experience to join the remote-first Stats & Analytics Data Delivery team. The role involves building scalable, distributed real-time microservices primarily in Go, working with large datasets and databases (Aerospike, Elasticsearch, Redis, ScyllaDB, Redshift, TiDB, MariaDB), data lakehouse technologies (Apache Iceberg, Apache Trino), real-time analytics (StarRocks, Clickhouse), and messaging queues (Kafka, SQS, Kinesis). Candidates must have strong problem solving skills in data structures, algorithms, and optimization, experience with relational and key-value databases, and building scalable microservices and distributed systems. What you'll do

  • Build highly scalable, distributed real-time micro-services primarily written in Go
  • Work with large data sets and various databases including Aerospike, Elasticsearch, Redis, ScyllaDB, Redshift, TiDB, MariaDB
  • Work with data lakehouse technologies like Apache Iceberg, Apache Trino, and real-time analytics technologies like StarRocks and Clickhouse
  • Build software that utilizes messaging queues such as Kafka, SQS, and Kinesis
  • Write performance efficient and memory optimized code

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer
  • Strong problem solving skills in data structures, algorithms, and optimization
  • Experience working with relational databases and/or key-value stores
  • Experience building scalable micro-services and distributed systems
