Full job description

Smadex is an ad-tech company processing over 4.5 million ad requests per second with response times under 100ms. The team builds the core platform ensuring data integrity and campaign solidity. The role involves integrating Agentic AI using LangChain and AWS Bedrock, building scalable backend services with Node.js, managing infrastructure security with AWS WAF and CloudFront, and owning the full development lifecycle. Requirements include a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, full-time availability, experience with Node.js or Angular, understanding of modern web applications, technical literacy in frontend or backend development, problem-solving skills, curiosity for AI, familiarity with Git, and good English skills. Bonus points for Linux skills, Angular or Node.js experience, and AWS experience. The position is full-time, hybrid based in Barcelona, and requires legal work authorization in Spain. What you'll do

  • Integrate Agentic AI using LangChain and AWS Bedrock to automate processes
  • Build scalable backend services with Node.js
  • Manage and protect infrastructure using AWS WAF and CloudFront
  • Take end-to-end ownership from architectural discussions to deployment

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience (or last year studying)
  • Available to work full-time (40 hours per week)
  • Experience in professional software development (ideally with Node.js or Angular)
  • Understand how a modern web application works end-to-end
  • Technical literacy in frontend (Angular/TypeScript) or backend (Node.js) development
  • Write clean, testable code and care about performance and security (AWS S3/WAF/CloudFront)
  • Problem-solving mindset: proactive investigation and solution proposal
  • Curiosity for AI and eagerness to master LLMs and AI orchestration tools
  • Familiarity with Git flows and basic clean code principles
  • Good English reading and writing skills
  • Bonus points for basic Linux skills and terminal comfort
  • Bonus points for experience with Angular or Node.js
  • Bonus points for experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, WAF, CloudFront, Elasticache, Route53, RDS, Bedrock)
  • Must have legal permit to work in Spain (no VISA sponsorship)
