Liftoff is seeking a senior Software Engineer for the Machine Learning Data Platform team. The role involves designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient systems to support data lake infrastructure, dataset generation, model training, analytics, reporting, and monitoring. The engineer will work with ML, software, and infrastructure teams to enable next-generation ML models using technologies such as Python, Golang, AWS, Weight & Biases, PyTorch, PySpark, Trino, Hive, Iceberg, and Clickhouse. Candidates must have 6+ years of experience, strong coding skills in Python and Golang, solid CS fundamentals, and preferably experience with Spark and ML tooling/platforms for large-scale problems. The position is full-time, hybrid (2 days/week in Bay Area offices), with a salary range of $180,000 to $230,000 and includes equity and benefits.
