Smadex is seeking a Software Engineer for the Platform Experience team to build internal tools, integrations, workflows, and business solutions for various company teams. The role focuses on improving company efficiency through maintainable solutions rather than external product engineering. Responsibilities include building internal applications, designing integrations, working with stakeholders, translating business needs into technical plans, automating manual processes, and ensuring maintainable and secure solutions. Requirements include 1+ years of software engineering experience, strong full-stack skills, API and integration experience, good judgment on build vs buy decisions, comfort with ambiguous requirements, strong communication, pragmatic mindset, business process understanding, and ownership mentality. Nice to have experience includes internal tools, CMS platforms, automation tools, Angular, Node.js, Python, SQL, REST APIs, low-code/no-code options, and cloud environments. The position is full-time, hybrid (2 days remote), located in Barcelona, Spain.
