Full job description

DoubleVerify seeks a Software Engineer Intern to work on mission-critical systems processing billions of real-time transactions daily. Responsibilities include building data engineering solutions, developing data-intensive applications for measurement products, working with big data and cloud technologies on Google Cloud Platform, collaborating in agile teams, improving data quality, and supporting mission-critical services. Candidates should be pursuing a B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science or related field, have strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and programming in C++, Java, Scala, or Python, be proficient in SQL and RDMS, and have knowledge of distributed systems as a plus. The role is hybrid, requiring presence in NYC HQ three days per week.

What you'll do

  • Research, conceive, and build a new data engineering solution
  • Build software and data-intensive applications for Social Viewability and Brandsuitability measurement products
  • Work on large-scale batch and streaming pipelines using Cloud and big data technologies on Google Cloud Platform
  • Work in multi-functional agile teams with end-to-end responsibility for product development and delivery under mentor guidance
  • Improve data quality through testing, tooling, and automation
  • Help maintain and support mission-critical services

Requirements

  • Pursuing B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field
  • Passionate about Data and a creative problem solver
  • Deep understanding of data structures and algorithms
  • Experience writing code in C++, Java, Scala, or Python
  • Good knowledge of SQL and RDMS
  • Experience and knowledge of Distributed Systems is a plus
