Full job description

Software Engineer on the Production Engineering team in Infrastructure R&D Department. Responsible for building and scaling core platform behind a large real-time recommendation system. Requires experience with large scale distributed systems, strong computer science fundamentals, 5+ years Java or equivalent OOP language programming, production systems, SQL and No-SQL, Linux proficiency, teamwork skills, and a B.Sc in computer science or equivalent. Bonus for Big Data tools and knowledge in algorithms, data-mining, and machine learning. Responsibilities include end-to-end service ownership, building and evolving real-time systems, improving observability and monitoring, leveraging Gen-AI tools, and collaborating with engineers. Tech stack includes Java, Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Cassandra, Vertica, MySQL, HDFS, BigQuery, Docker, Linux, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Metrictank, Grafana, Airflow, Redis. Location: Taipei, Taiwan.
