Full job description
Software Engineer role in Production Engineering team, Infrastructure R&D Department. Responsibilities include designing, developing, deploying, measuring, and maintaining large-scale distributed real-time recommendation systems. Requires 5+ years programming experience in Java or equivalent, strong computer science fundamentals, production systems understanding, SQL and No-SQL experience, proficiency in Linux, and ability to work across teams. Bonus for Big Data tools and knowledge in algorithms, data-mining, and machine learning. Tech stack includes Java, Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Cassandra, Vertica, MySQL, HDFS, BigQuery, Docker, Linux, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Metrictank, Grafana, Airflow, Redis.
