Mediavine is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the AdTech Engineering team. The role involves leading and executing projects across the AdTech stack including JavaScript/TypeScript web wrapper and Rust-based OpenRTB server. Responsibilities include technical design, deployment, A/B testing, partner integrations, production incident response, and mentoring peers. Candidates must have 4+ years of software engineering experience, strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills, knowledge of web application lifecycle, experience with A/B experiments, strong code review and communication skills, demonstrated ownership, and effective use of AI coding tools. Requirements
4+ years of professional software engineering experience
Track record of leading projects end-to-end and shipping production systems
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, including browser runtime, asynchronous patterns, and performance-sensitive client-side code
Solid working knowledge of the request/response lifecycle of modern web applications
Experience designing and running A/B experiments and interpreting results
Strong code review skills with ability to give and receive feedback
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ownership, initiative, and follow-through
Effective use of AI coding assistants as a force multiplier
