Full job description

Software Engineer Data Platforms position at smartclip in Berlin. Develop scalable data platforms processing terabytes of TV and advertising data. Responsibilities include building and optimizing data aggregation pipelines mainly using Spark and Scala, implementing cloud-native solutions with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, and driving test automation with Test Driven Development. Required skills: strong software engineering experience with JVM languages (Scala/Java) and/or Python, big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Trino, Flowman, Delta Lake), infrastructure knowledge (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS), high code quality standards, open-source mindset, hands-on attitude, and fluency in German and English. The role is full-time, primarily remote with occasional onsite meetings in Berlin.
