Cognitiv is seeking a mid-level Backend Software Engineer for their Core team to build and maintain the foundational platform powering real-time bidding and campaign execution. The role involves owning feature delivery end-to-end, writing production-ready code with high test coverage, maintaining service reliability, authoring design documents, and mentoring team members. Required skills include strong backend programming (preferably .NET Core/C#), experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/SQL), software development best practices, operational awareness (on-call, runbooks, DataDog, AWS), and effective communication. Bonus points for experience with cloud platforms, distributed systems, developer tooling, and adtech/RTB systems. The position is full-time, hybrid, located in Bellevue, WA, with a salary range of $130,000 - $170,000 USD plus equity.
