Full job description

StackAdapt is seeking a mid-level Backend Software Engineer with 2+ years experience to build scalable, distributed real-time microservices primarily in Go. The role involves working with large datasets and databases such as Aerospike, Elasticsearch, Redis, ScyllaDB, Redshift, TiDB, and MariaDB, and utilizing messaging queues like Kafka, SQS, and Kinesis. Candidates must have strong problem-solving skills in data structures, algorithms, and optimization, experience with relational and key-value databases, and building scalable microservices and distributed systems. The position is full-time and remote within Canada. What you'll do

  • Build highly scalable, distributed real-time micro-services primarily written in Go
  • Work with large data sets and various databases including Aerospike, Elasticsearch, Redis, ScyllaDB, Redshift, TiDB, MariaDB
  • Build software that utilizes messaging queues such as Kafka, SQS, and Kinesis
  • Write performance efficient and memory optimized code

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer
  • Very strong problem solving skills in data structures, algorithms, and optimization
  • Experience working with relational databases and/or key-value stores
  • Experience building scalable micro-services and distributed systems
