Full job description Epsilon seeks a junior Software Engineer with 1-3 years experience to join their Data Practice Development Team. The role involves developing, testing, and maintaining software applications using Java, C++, Perl, SQL, UNIX, ETL tools, and other technologies. Responsibilities include clarifying business rules, creating technical documentation, adhering to coding standards, participating in code reviews, debugging, and collaborating with team members. Candidates should have a B.S. in Computer Science or related field, experience with programming languages and relational databases, familiarity with AWS cloud services, CI/CD practices, and modern development tools like Git and Jira. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team are required. Assist in creation of technical specifications, design documentation, and process flows

Demonstrate willingness to learn new technologies and development practices Requirements B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field 1-3 years of job related experience and/or directly related college coursework Application programming experience using Java, .NET, UNIX scripting, C++/C#, Python, JavaScript or SQL Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL Professional exposure to web services, APIs, and data integration concepts Experience with Git, Jira and modern development tools Familiarity with prompt engineering concepts and effective AI collaboration techniques Exposure to AWS cloud services and cloud-native application concepts Familiarity with cloud deployment, monitoring and CI/CD practices Interest in learning AWS services such as EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3 Familiarity with multi-threaded parallel system application components Experience with build and test automation tools and practice Exposure to building metadata driven front-end application Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and software design principles Excellent written and verbal communication skills Dependable with ability to learn quickly and work independently or in a team Tech stack Java C++ Perl SQL UNIX ETL tools .NET UNIX scripting C# Python JavaScript Oracle SQL Server PostgreSQL MySQL Git Jira AWS EC2 ECS Lambda RDS S3 Docker Cursor GitHub Copilot
