Full job description

Join Digital Turbine's Warsaw technology hub to build and maintain high-performance, low-latency backend systems using JVM languages or Erlang. Responsibilities include developing backend services and APIs, writing clean and testable code, troubleshooting real-time systems, contributing to CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Requirements include 2+ years of software development experience, proficiency in JVM languages, experience with RESTful or GraphQL APIs, familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, and strong English communication skills. Nice-to-have skills include cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), modern JS/TS frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js), and event-driven architectures with Kafka or RabbitMQ. The role offers a hybrid work model, competitive salary (160,500 - 214,000 PLN gross/year), RSUs, medical insurance, and wellness allowances.

What you'll do

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain robust backend services and APIs using JVM languages or Erlang
  • Write clean, testable code and participate in architecture discussions to ensure long-term system health
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and fine-tune performance for real-time, high-throughput systems
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability to improve deployment velocity
  • Work closely with Product, UX, Data, and DevOps teams to deliver seamless end-to-end features

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional software development experience
  • Proficiency in at least one JVM language (Java, Kotlin, Scala, or Groovy)
  • Proven experience building RESTful or GraphQL APIs
  • Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Collaborative, problem-solving mindset
