Full job description

Software Engineer role responsible for creating, maintaining, and supporting cloud-based software solutions handling several TBs of data daily. Requires strong backend, cloud technologies, and MapReduce knowledge. Responsibilities include designing, building, testing, and supporting backend services and scalable ETLs, creating cloud infrastructure, prioritizing business requirements, and working independently. Qualifications: 1-3 years backend experience (preferably Python), proficiency in Spark and MapReduce, experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), Scrum knowledge, English proficiency, and experience developing scalable ETL solutions. Preferred skills: CI/CD tools (Jenkins), Docker, Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation). What you'll do

  • Design, build, test, and support back-end services in the context of a big data solution
  • Design and develop independent and scalable ETLs for processing large volumes of information
  • Create infrastructure for designed solutions in the cloud
  • Understand and prioritize requirements according to business needs
  • Work independently and by objectives

Requirements

  • 1-3 years working with at least one backend language (preferably Python)
  • Proficiency in Spark and MapReduce technologies
  • Experience in at least one cloud platform (preferably AWS)
  • Knowledge of Scrum methodologies
  • Proficiency in English to communicate and update the team
  • Demonstrable experience developing scalable and quality ETL solutions
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (preferably Jenkins) - preferred
  • Knowledge of Docker - preferred
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code frameworks (preferably CloudFormation) - preferred
