Full job description

Seeking a Software Development Engineer for Amazon's Customer Data & Experience group to build solutions around Amazon Marketing Cloud. Requires 3+ years professional software development experience, 2+ years design/architecture experience, and proficiency in at least one programming language. Preferred: 3+ years full software development lifecycle experience and a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent. Work involves developing scalable services using AWS, Kotlin, React.js, and Next.js, integrating with advertising verticals and SaaS products. Responsibilities include collaborating with partners, simplifying complex problems, and delivering production-quality software.

What you'll do

  • Work with Professional Services and Tech Integration partners to build innovative solutions around Amazon Marketing Cloud product
  • Develop greenfield services integrating with multiple advertising business verticals within Amazon
  • Build SaaS integration products for external customers and partners
  • Work with large-scale streaming systems, machine learning, data science, and cloud-native development
  • Simplify complex problems and tackle challenges
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer and partner relationship skills
  • Discover true requirements underlying feature requests

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling)
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
