Full job description

Smartly is seeking a Team Lead for the Smart Services team to manage client relationships, lead a team, and drive platform adoption. Requires 7+ years in digital media with expertise in Paid Social, 1+ year managing a team, and strong client relationship skills. Responsibilities include client leadership, team management, strategic direction, operational excellence, cross-functional collaboration, and commercial awareness. Experience with paid media platforms, AI, machine learning, and programmatic advertising is needed. Benefits include 5 weeks PTO, healthcare, 401K matching, equity grants, and more. Salary range $100k-140k per year.

What you'll do

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across engagement models
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of specialists and managers
  • Oversee onboarding plans, testing agendas, and platform adoption strategies
  • Ensure processes, SLAs, and best practices are followed consistently
  • Drive efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Partner with Creative Services, Marketing Science, Product, Technical Consulting, and Sales
  • Maintain understanding of contracts, forecasts, scope, and account health
  • Identify expansion opportunities and protect delivery profitability

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in digital media with deep expertise in Paid Social
  • 1+ year of experience managing a team
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining senior client relationships
  • Hands-on experience with paid media platforms
  • Working knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts
  • Strong analytical and strategic mindset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly organized and proactive
  • Ability to balance client outcomes with team development
