Full job description

OpenX is seeking a Senior Cloud Site Reliability Engineer responsible for performance, uptime, and growth of systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role involves software development to optimize cloud-native systems, orchestrate cloud infrastructure, and automate manual tasks. Responsibilities include designing and supporting large-scale infrastructure on GCP/AWS using tools like Terraform, monitoring and incident response, system deployment support, cluster tuning, collaboration with engineering and operations teams, and participation in on-call rotation. Requirements include at least 5 years of AWS/GCP experience, a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, shell scripting skills, programming experience in Java, Python, or Go, and good English communication skills. Desirable qualifications include expertise in large-scale distributed systems, knowledge of public cloud services, Kubernetes/Docker experience, and ability to debug and automate tasks. What you'll do

  • Design, write and deliver software to implement and support large web-scale, highly-performant, highly-available infrastructure on GCP/AWS (e.g. Terraform)
  • Monitor infrastructure, respond to incidents, correct and improve systems to prevent incidents, and plan capacity
  • Support system deployments and product releases
  • Tune large-scale clusters for optimal performance and efficiency
  • Work closely with engineering, project management, and operational peers to develop innovative technical tools and solutions
  • Participation in on-call rotation

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of AWS/GCP experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field involving systems engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • Shell scripting
  • Experience in one of the following: Java, Python, Go, or other
  • Good English skills
