Full job description

Join the Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) team as a Site Reliability Engineer Apprentice. Contribute to AuthZilla, an authorization system based on OpenFGA and the Google Zanzibar model. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, deploying, and monitoring features, working in an agile Kanban team, supporting feature migration, and gaining experience with ReBAC systems. The role involves frontend (Angular), backend (C#, Python), and SRE tools (Kubernetes, Kibana, monitoring, alerting). Candidates must be enrolled in a relevant technical program with an apprenticeship contract, have basic development skills, interest in authorization and security, and be fluent in English. The position is full-time, fixed term, and hybrid based in Paris, France.

What you'll do

  • Design, implement, deploy, and monitor features within the AuthZilla authorization system
  • Work in an agile Kanban team alongside experienced engineers
  • Support migration and adoption of implemented features across teams
  • Gain hands-on experience with Relationship-Based Access Control (ReBAC) systems

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled or will be enrolled in a Computer Science or related technical program with an apprenticeship contract
  • Masters student looking for 1+ years apprenticeship
  • Availability for hybrid schedule: 3 weeks in office and 1 week at school or 4 days in office and 1 day at school
  • Basic development skills with eagerness to grow in frontend and backend technologies
  • Interest or experience in authorization systems, security, and SRE practices
  • Some experience or interest in Object-Oriented Programming (C#, Python, Java)
  • Knowledge of web-based applications and Linux fundamentals
  • Familiarity with frontend frameworks like Angular or React
  • API design and development skills
  • Team player with strong communication skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Excited to learn, contribute, and work on production-grade systems at scale
