Full job description

Role: SEO/SEM Specialist reporting to VP Operations, Emerging Markets. Location: China (flexible). Responsibilities include developing and optimizing SEO/SEM strategies, managing on-page, off-page and technical SEO, conducting keyword research, monitoring campaign performance and reporting, ensuring tracking setup in CM360, owning campaign performance, building client relationships, managing portfolio growth and margin, collaborating internally and externally, overseeing digital assets, managing lead generation and email marketing campaigns, testing innovations, and improving SEM/SEO offerings. Requirements: Minimum 3 years experience with SA360, Google Ads, Bing Ads; strong PPC results; knowledge of CM360, GA4; understanding of programmatic and digital ecosystems; client-facing experience preferred; proficiency in SEO/SEM tools; fluent English and Mandarin; strong communication and problem-solving skills; bonus skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript for SEO; up-to-date SEO knowledge; ability to work independently and in teams; good presentation skills; alignment with company values.

What you'll do

  • Develop, execute, and optimize comprehensive SEO/ SEM strategies aligned with business and brand goals
  • Manage and implement on-page, off-page and technical SEO
  • Conduct detailed keyword research and analysis to inform content strategies and optimize content copy
  • Monitor, analyse and report on campaign performance including website traffic, rankings, CTR, conversions, ROAS
  • Ensure floodlight tracking and other set-up in CM360 is thorough and issue-free
  • End to end campaign ownership and performance monitoring including set-up and optimisation
  • Use insights to build client rapport and up-sell opportunities
  • Deliver on-target margin while retaining and growing client spends
  • Balance portfolio growth with margin/profitability objectives across campaign types
  • Grow campaign portfolio revenue by surpassing client KPIs and supporting custom insights
  • Use data, analysis, and optimisation expertise to deliver campaigns ahead of pace and maintain performance
  • Collaborate with AM team in China and DnA team in Bangalore on custom insights planning and production
  • Work with central and local departments to uphold campaign processes, support media plans, adhere to best practices, and troubleshoot issues
  • Attend, participate, and lead external meetings delivering insights and answering client questions
  • Own weekly client reporting and collaborate directly with clients to deliver actionable insights
  • Clearly communicate the role and interplay between digital channels such as Search, Display, and Social
  • Oversee health of digital assets and collaborate with developers to fix technical issues and ensure SEO best practices
  • Serve as subject-matter expert on SEO/SEM set-up, performance and contribution to campaign funnel and user journey
  • Manage lead generation and email marketing campaigns including optimizing landing pages
  • Test and implement innovative ideas to drive scale or superior results
  • Maintain and evolve MiQ trading/operational processes and best practices
  • Deliver improvement recommendations on SEM/SEO offering to grow client spend and satisfaction

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with hands-on set-up & optimisation across SA360, Google Ads & Bing Ads platforms
  • Proven track record of delivering results at scale for PPC activity
  • In-depth understanding of set-up (CM360, SA360, Bing Ads & Google Ads) and optimisation (SA360, Google Ads, Bing Ads)
  • Experience with SA360, Bing Ads is a must
  • Good understanding of tracking set-up process, options & troubleshooting via CM360 & GA4
  • Good understanding of the programmatic & wider digital ecosystem in NA, EMEA and APAC – with a focus on the roles of Search & Display
  • Experience working in client-facing environment would be an advantage
  • Experience with Mobile Performance campaigns is a bonus
  • Proven relevant qualifications and minimum 3 years of experience in similar SEO/SEM role
  • Proficient with hands-on implementation experience with SEO/ SEM consoles and third-party tools, such as GA4, Google Ads
  • Strong understanding of digital and performance marketing, programmatic advertising and display networks, and relevant data analytics
  • Fluent English & Mandarin
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving mentality
  • Skilled in HTML, CSS and JavaScript for SEO purposes would be a bonus
  • Up-to-date knowledge of search engine algorithms and best practices in web and mobile SEO
  • Strong troubleshooting ability, clear systematic approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work independently and contribute within a team environment
