Hiring Senior Systems Engineer for Infrastructure & Operations team. Role focuses on Linux systems, virtualization, physical/co-location infrastructure, Kubernetes, storage, automation, and production troubleshooting. Acts as senior escalation point and collaborates with DevOps, Network, DBA, Security, and application teams. Requires deep expertise in systems and infrastructure engineering, troubleshooting across OS, compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and containers. Full-time hybrid role, 3 days/week in Toronto office. Must travel internationally without restrictions. Responsibilities include managing VMware environments, supporting on-premise and hybrid infrastructure, Kubernetes cluster operations, networking troubleshooting, automation with Python/Ansible/Bash/APIs, storage support, incident response, documentation, and mentoring. Requires 8-10+ years experience, CKA and ITIL certifications, strong Linux and Windows Server knowledge, VMware and Kubernetes expertise, networking fundamentals, automation skills, and MySQL operational knowledge. Preferred: experience with Ceph, MinIO, ZFS, SAN/NAS, Cisco/Juniper networking, Prometheus/Grafana/ELK monitoring, Go programming, ServiceNow, and high-performance compute infrastructure. Salary range $100,000–$150,000 plus bonus.
