Full job description

The Trade Desk seeks a senior software engineer with 7+ years experience to join the Performance Automation team in Boulder, CO on a hybrid schedule. The role involves developing optimization tools to improve advertising campaign outcomes, enhancing machine learning model development, creating ETLs for large data sets, integrating models into low-latency bidding infrastructure, and building debugging and analytical tools for real-time system monitoring. Candidates should have hands-on experience with PyTorch, Tensorflow, Spark, .NET Core, Java, SQL Server, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Azure, strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, service-oriented system design, and distributed systems. What you'll do

  • Develop optimization tools to enhance clients' advertising campaign outcomes
  • Enhance machine learning model development and create tools/frameworks for quicker iteration and refinement of models
  • Create ETLs that process petabytes of data
  • Experiment with novel model training architectures
  • Integrate models in bidding infrastructure requiring low latency and high performance
  • Develop and improve debugging and analytical tools for real-time monitoring and adjustment of bidding system
  • Participate actively in designing, building, and delivering products
  • Mentor, provide technical leadership, and/or manage small teams
  • Work on large-scale distributed systems, petabyte-scale data challenges, machine learning, advanced visualizations, and interactive user interfaces

Requirements

  • 7+ years of demonstrated success in software development within high-scale enterprise environments
  • Hands-on experience with multiple platforms and technologies including PyTorch, Tensorflow, Spark, .NET Core, Java, SQL Server, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure
  • Excellent understanding of Agile development methodology and development practices
  • Understanding of designing Service-Oriented systems
  • Exposure to Machine Learning concepts and frameworks (a plus, but not required)
  • Experience in building distributed systems and microservices
