Full job description

Quantcast is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Partner Integrations team responsible for integrating third-party ad opportunities and managing creatives and customer segment ingestion. The role involves working with systems ranging from monoliths to microservices hosted on AWS, handling large data pipelines, and ensuring operational excellence for ad campaign delivery. Responsibilities include driving engineering initiatives, resolving technical bottlenecks, mentoring junior engineers, and managing on-call incidents. Candidates should have 2+ years experience with high-scale distributed systems, proficiency in Java or similar languages, strong communication skills, and experience with observability and mission-critical systems.

What you'll do

  • Drive engineering initiatives through design, implementation and production rollout ensuring systems are reliable, monitored, and successfully adopted by users
  • Identify and resolve cross-team technical and commercial bottlenecks, coordinating with wider engineering teams, other functions and 3rd party partners
  • Support professional development of peers and junior team members by providing regular, constructive feedback on code, system design, and engineering processes
  • Manage resolution of complex on-call incidents, coordinating team-wide responses and implementing measures to improve long-term system health

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience building and maintaining complex, high-scale distributed systems
  • Degree in Computer Science or an adjacent field
  • Ability to distill complex technical updates into clear, actionable information for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working across team boundaries and with third parties to untangle dependencies and move projects forward
  • Deep understanding of observability and maintaining mission-critical systems in a high-velocity production environment
  • Proficiency in Java or a similar modern programming language with deep understanding of building and scaling high-performance systems
