Full job description

The Trade Desk is seeking a mid-level full-time software engineer to join the Service Excellence team focused on incident response tooling. Responsibilities include developing incident management tools, automating incident lifecycle processes, evaluating and migrating logging infrastructure, enhancing the internal developer portal with Kubernetes integrations and SLO tooling, and improving alert quality systems. Candidates should have experience building and operating production infrastructure or internal developer tooling, familiarity with distributed systems, Kubernetes, observability pipelines, logging, alerting, and on-call workflows. Strong debugging skills and clear communication are required. Preferred skills include experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Sumo Logic, developer portals like Backstage or OpsLevel, Kubernetes at scale, and HunnyPt. The role is based in Boulder, Denver, or Seattle. Salary range is $124,900 to $250,000 USD.
