Full job description

Senior Software Engineer role to design, develop, and automate release processes for a digital marketing platform. Requires 5+ years experience, strong Java skills, Agile methodology experience, production support, release management, and familiarity with AWS and serverless applications. Experience with Micronaut or Spring Frameworks, Apache Spark, DevOps tools (Jenkins, GoCD), infrastructure automation (Terraform), and AI-assisted development tools is required. Responsibilities include collaborating with product teams, participating in design/code reviews, and managing production support. Benefits include flexible time off, paid holidays, health coverage, 401(k), and more. Location: Wakefield, Massachusetts, USA. Salary range: $102,700 to $189,800 annually.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and automate release processes for software applications
  • Contribute to development of digital marketing platform using AWS, Micronaut, Databricks
  • Manage production support and release processes
  • Participate in design and code reviews
  • Collaborate with product engineers, product managers, and solution architects
  • Develop software design, automation, deployment, and production support skills

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • 5+ years professional software development experience
  • Strong Java and object-oriented programming skills
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Experience with production support and release management
  • Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms
  • Experience with AWS serverless application development
  • Experience with Micronaut or Spring Frameworks
  • Experience with Apache Spark
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools like Jenkins and GoCD
  • Exposure to infrastructure automation tools like Terraform
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude)
  • Working knowledge of LLM/AI integration patterns and frameworks
  • Experience or interest in responsible AI practices
