Nexxen's SSP Software Development team is building and running a high-throughput SSP processing hundreds of billions of real-time ad requests daily. The role is based in Bellevue, WA with a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, rest remote). Responsibilities include owning complex initiatives end-to-end, applying AI-first mindset, integrating with DSPs, SSPs, third-party data providers, and standards like OpenRTB and VAST, building high-throughput low-latency services using caching and in-memory stores (Redis, Kafka, Aerospike), applying SRE practices, code review and mentorship, resolving performance bottlenecks, driving test and automation coverage, and collaborating with product, ops, and engineering teams. Requirements include BS/MS in CS or related field, 5+ years expert JavaScript/Node backend experience at scale, strong distributed systems knowledge, fundamentals in data structures and systems design, experience with distributed databases and streaming pipelines, strong SQL, Linux, networking, Git skills, mentorship experience, test-first mindset, excellent communication, and preferred AdTech experience. Salary range is $180,000 - $200,000 annually with potential bonuses.
